Ão, a Belgian quartet, seamlessly blends saudade, indie, and subtle electronica, led by the captivating vocals of frontwoman Brenda Corijn. With Corijn's Mozambican-Portuguese heritage, she sings in both Portuguese and English, weaving heartfelt lyrics alongside Siebe Chau's soulful guitar, Jolan Decaestecker's atmospheric production, and Bert Peyffers' eclectic percussion. Their debut single "Mulher" gained traction, even on KEXP. Follow-up "Avo" promises to amplify their presence across Europe. Anticipation builds for their debut album, slated for autumn, expanding their sound akin to FKA Twigs and James Blake. Live, Ão offers an otherworldly experience, set to enchant festivalgoers next summer and beyond, cementing their promising trajectory on Busker's roster.
