How to reach Paradise City?

Traveling greener and cleaner.

Our Green Mobility Plan

With the support of Brussels Airport and NMBS/SNCB, Paradise City has completely redesigned its mobility plan to meet our growing climate ambitions.

As one of the world's greenest music festival, we are continuously looking for ways to make our event more sustainable. As carbon emissions from visitor transport form a significant part of our carbon footprint (48,7% of total CO2 emissions), mobility is key to our sustainability ambitions. Thanks to the introduction of night trains two years ago, car transport has decreased from 58.6% (2021) to 36,5% (2023), and train transport has increased from 7.8% (2021) to 20,5% (2023).

However, we keep pushing to incentivize our visitors to reach our dance floors by public transport. The free electric shuttle bus service between Vilvoorde Station and the festival site runs continuously. For more in-depth details on Paradise City’s sustainability efforts, check out the green page.

New in 2024: plan your trip tool

To help you plan your trip to Paradise City, we have a new handy tool that organizes all options in one place. Using You. Smart. Thing, you can easily coordinate your travel with our (night) trains, shuttles, your car, and even parking arrangements. Simply put your place of departure, the date and the hour you would like to arrive - and check out all your available modes of transport in one place.

By train

OPTION 1: BACK AND FORTH TO PARADISE CITY BY REGULAR DAY TRAIN (with a reduced price)

The closest train station to our festival is Vilvoorde. From there, a free electric shuttle bus will take you to Paradise City and back. Departures in both ways at least once every 30 minutes.

Vilvoorde Station shuttle bus operating hours:

  • Friday: 11:00 – 01:50

  • Saturday: 11:00 – 01:50

  • Sunday: 11:00 – 00:00

  • Monday: 08:00 - 12:00

With the Event Train Ticket, you can travel both ways at half price by regular trains between any Belgian station and Vilvoorde station between Friday June 28, and Monday July 1, 2024.

If you’re travelling from abroad, you can combine your Paradise City Train Ticket with a valid train ticket from the country you’re travelling from until the Belgian border. From there, the Paradise City Train ticket is valid to Vilvoorde station.

Attention: If you want to use the night train to get back home, you need a special night train ticket (please see option 2). Please use the NMBS/SNCB website or app to buy your train tickets, check the timetables and plan your journey.

OPTION 2: GOING TO PARADISE CITY ON A REGULAR TRAIN AND TRAVELING BACK ON A NIGHT TRAIN

Boarding a night train is only possible with a Paradise City Night Train Ticket! The number of seats on each train is limited, so please book well ahead. Your incoming train travel to Vilvoorde Station is included in your night train ticket, too (there is no need to buy an additional, regular festival train ticket, as described in option 1).

Once the festival’s opening hours are over, visitors can take a free shuttle bus service to Vilvoorde Station, from where NMBS/SNCB will provide special night trains on three routes:

VILVOORDE – BRUSSELS – GHENT SINT PIETERS. (With stops in Brussels North, Brussels Central, and Brussels Midi)
VILVOORDE – MECHELEN – ANTWERP CENTRAL. (With stops in Mechelen, Mechelen Nekkerspoel, Duffel, Kontich-Lint, Mortsel-Oud-God, and Antwerpen Berchem)
VILVOORDE – LEUVEN – HASSELT. (With stops in Leuven, Tienen, Landen and Sint-Truiden).

If you use the night trains, please get to the shuttle buses outside the festival exit as soon as the music stops. All night trains depart from Vilvoorde Station at 2:10 AM sharp!

Attention: night trains only run on Friday and Saturday nights. On Sunday, the regular NMBS/SNCB train schedule runs until midnight, and bus shuttles to the train station will still be available.

By bycicle

It goes without saying that we recommend you use your bike or public transport to get to the festival. We will also provide spacious and professionally secured bicycle parking next to the festival entrance.

Head over to fietsnet.be and follow the junctions to our festival from your location. Our festival is located in Perk, right next to junction 56. Just follow the signs on your chosen route to the festival when you are near. Please be careful when riding your bike after the festival and make sure you’re clearly visible in the dark.

By bus

The following De Lijn buses run from and to Perk:

225: Kortenberg – Vilvoorde

280: Mechelen – Vilvoorde

681: Mechelen – Bonheiden – Perk – Zaventem

682: Mechelen – Zemst – Perk – Zaventem

Please check the www.delijn.be for timetables.

By air

Travellers who enter Belgium from Brussels Airport in Zaventem are advised to take the train to Vilvoorde station, just a short ride away. We advise you to buy a regular train ticket from the airport train station, as this will be your cheapest and most convenient option. From there, free shuttle services run to and from the festival continuously during the operating hours. Keep in mind we don’t have any night trains to Brussels Airport after the festival hours.

By car

CARPOOL WITH SLINGER

Thanks to our collaboration with Slinger, travelling to Paradise City is now even easier and more sustainable. The widget at the bottom right of this page allows you to search for and book an empty car seat within 2 minutes. This is how we make the Paradise City experience more social and more sustainable.

PARKING

Several parking areas will be available; just follow the signs. Parking 1 for day, combi and camping visitors is on the Kampenhoutsesteenweg. Parking 2 & 3 for comfort visitors is on the Sint Jannekesstraat. You can either buy the parking ticket online (€20 for a day or €30 for the weekend) or pay on-site with your card (please remember that we don’t accept cash). Visitors who don’t carpool (less than three people per vehicle) pay an extra fee of €5. Scan this QR code to put the exact address on Waze.

Alternatively, parking is available at Vilvoorde station for €6. From there, you can take the free shuttle bus to the festival.
