Paradise City achieves the prestigious Greener Festival Outstanding Certification 2024.

Our team is proud to announce we received the Greener Festival Outstanding Certification 2024, a distinguished recognition awarded by event sustainability experts A Greener Future (AGF). This certification, at the highest possible level, celebrates festivals that demonstrate exceptional environmental stewardship and inspire meaningful change in the industry. Last year, Paradise City was awarded the "Most Sustainable Music Festival in the World" at the AGF Awards.
AGF's rigorous certification process involves a detailed evaluation across key sustainability areas, including transport, energy, waste management, water usage, local environmental impact, CO2 emissions, and food and beverage practices. Paradise City excelled in each area, as confirmed by AGF assessors during their on-site visit to Ribaucourt Castle last June.
AGF praised Paradise City's efforts, stating:
"The festival unveiled its new Green Power Plan, with approximately 66% of its energy sourced from renewable solar power, generated both on-site and via the main grid. Paradise City also champions sustainable travel by providing electric shuttles and a dedicated night train, making low-emission transport an easy choice for attendees. This year, they introduced an upgraded, user-friendly recycling park and engaged directly with festivalgoers to minimize waste across the campsite."

Some of our most important improvements of 2024, in a nutshell:
Green Power Plan: Approximately 66% of our festival's energy in 2024 was derived from renewable solar power, using on-site panels and support from the main grid.
Eco-Friendly Transportation: With electric shuttles and a dedicated night train, our festival offered low-emission travel options, significantly reducing attendees' carbon footprints.
Recycling Innovation: The launch of a redesigned recycling park and an on-site waste reduction campaign led to meaningful improvements in campsite and festival-wide waste management.
As we are celebrating our tenth birthday this year, we reaffirm our dedication to combining unforgettable festival experiences with an enduring commitment to sustainability. Expect more sustainable improvements, like more night trains (including on Sunday evening) and a completely new ambitious waste management plan. More on that later.
