Paradise City and Klub Dramatik present DOEL FESTIVAL

Together with our friends from Klub Dramatik, we are proud to present the first edition of a brand new music festival in the streets of Doel.

The beautiful polder village of Doel had to endure a lot in recent decades. Vacancy and vandalism have damaged the community on the Scheldt, but a new adventure is near. Finally, after several turbulent decades, a bright new chapter in the history of this idyllic village will unfold. It took more than two years of preparation, but we are now honoured to announce the first edition of this new festival.

Don’t expect enormous stages, fireworks and extravagant entertainment. We don’t want to reveal too much, but DOEL will deliberately remain a small-scale festival with a simple production that seamlessly blends in with the unique architecture of the municipality. The location is, therefore, the biggest headliner.

We don’t simply want to organise a festival and leave again. We want to contribute to the future of Doel as a vibrant and sustainable village. With this festival, we want to connect the local community with a new generation of music fans, thus contributing to this beautiful location’s livability.

DOEL works in consultation with the City of Beveren. “For example, the festival will set up a fund to finance projects to revalue the public space, with sustainability as a central component,” says Laura Staut, alderman for festivities. In addition, DOEL wants to work closely with local residents, bringing back the village into the spotlight positively.

More information about DOEL Festival will follow in the coming weeks. Subscribe to the newsletter at www.doelfestival.be and be the first to know.

Follow DOEL on Facebook and Instagram and stay in the loop.
