Paradise city festival 2021

Paradise City 2021 will take place, and that with the necessary measures

COVID UPDATE (AUGUST 5th)

A few weeks ago we said that we wanted to make your entrance hassle free, especially for the younger generation that did not have the opportunity yet to get fully vaccinated. Today we are very happy to give you an update. We will provide a 2500 Capacity antigen test village at the entrance for each day of Paradise City Festival. For 15euros you will be able to get your test which will allow the acces the festival for the same day and the next day.

So for those who won’t be fully vaccinated for the festival you will have different options. You can book your antigen test here: https://bit.ly/PC-covid-test.  Price is 15euro and is as cheap we could get it for you. Tests are normally far more expensive. The antigen test at the entrance will take up to 15mins, if you are negative you will be granted acces immediately to the festival. Of course, I you you have not used up your free PCR tests, you can also get a negative PCR test at a testcenter somewhere else.

An antigen test will provide you with access for the same day and the next day, as long as you have the Covidsafe app in which the result will be uploaded. If you are planning to visit the festival for 3 days, you should already plan a second test on Sunday morning. If you want to do a covid test at the entrance you should book it asap. We work with timeslots of 15minutes, but when your preferred slot is sold-out you will have to choose another time-slot. And if our test capacity is full you’ll need to plan your test somewhere else.

Of course those who are fully vaccinated for 2 weeks or have a recovery certificate uploaded in their covidsafe app don’t need a negative test to enter.

EU CITIZENS should have the European Digital Covid Certificate. They can also make use of our test center at the entrance.

Paradise City 2021 is going ahead and will take place from August 13 to 15 on the familiar domain at Castle de Ribaucourt in Perk. Unlike other years, the festival grounds will be a special place. One of the only ones in Belgium where we can all come together and dance to the beats of great music.

Mouth masks and social distancing are mandatory upon arrival and each visitor must be able to present the necessary attestation(s) via the CovidSafeBE application.

To enter the corona-free festival area, the visitor must comply with one of the following 3 rules:

  1. The visitor must be in possession of a vaccination certificate (2 doses + 14 days incubation period or 1 dose Johnson & Johnson + 14 days incubation period). OR
  2. One must be in possession of a negative PCR test valid for 48 hours or a negative rapid antigen test (RAT) valid for 24 hours that can be taken at a testing village, a vaccination center and at the doctor’s office or pharmacy. OR
  3. One must be in possession of a recovery certificate with a validity period that starts 10 days after the date of the first positive PCR test and ends 180 days after the date of that first positive test.

Those counting on their vaccination certificate to go to Paradise City should take into account their incubation period. That is, if one has a ticket for Friday August 13, he must have gotten his second vaccination no later than July 30. If one has a ticket for Saturday August 14, he must have gotten his second vaccination no later than July 31. If one has a ticket for Sunday August 15, he must have gotten his second vaccination no later than August 1.

Paradise City will provide a big test zone with antigen rapid tests at the entrance of the domain, that way they can offer the visitor as many options as possible and not make access to the festival too cumbersome.

So, combiticket and camping holders should take an antigen test at our test village on the first day and the 3rd day or come with a negative PCR test and also take an antigen test on the third day at the festival’s test center. If one takes the PCR test on Thursday, one may enter the festival through Saturday. On Sunday, one can then take an antigen test at our test center that is valid for 24 hours and allows re-entry.

Paradise City has set up an email address where people can go with their questions: info@paradisecity.be

PRACTICAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE COVID SAFE ZONE

HOW TO COLLECT YOUR COVID SAFE WRISTBAND?

To be admitted to Paradise City Festival 2021 you will not only need an entrance ticket but also a valid Covid certificate:

Visitor from Belgium

Belgian residents must present a Covid Safe Ticket. This ticket is available via the CovidSafeBE app. Or you can go to www.mijngezondheid.be to download a vaccination certificate or have it sent via regular mail.

Visitors from abroad

Non-Belgian residents must submit a European Digital Covid Certificate and also download the Covidsafe app. When the certificate is scanned a green (access) or red (no access) code is displayed.

The certificate contains a standardised QR code that works for all EU residents (+ Iceland, Norway and Switzerland). Test certificates also display the validity of the certificate.

ATTENTION: AT THE FESTIVAL ENTRANCE YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PRESENT PROOF OF IDENTITY, AN OFFICIAL ID CARD OR PASSPORT.

GREEN = ACCESS TO THE FESTIVAL

Visitors get a green screen if:

  • They are fully vaccinated + 2 weeks.
  • They can present a negative PCR test administered no longer than 48 hours before the event date or a negative rapid antigen test administered no longer than 24 hours before the event date.
  • They are in possession of a recovery certificate with a validity from 10 days after the date of the first positive PCR test until 180 days after that test.

Only after a visitor has received his or her Covid Safe wristband will they be in the Covid Safe Zone. This means that distance rules and wearing a mouth mask are no longer necessary.

RED = NO ACCESS TO THE FESTIVAL

Visitors get a red screen if:

  • The vaccination date is too recent (less than 14 days ago)
  • The test certificate has expired

Visitors for whom scanning the Covid certificate does not give access to the event can take a test on site.

PRIVACY

Your certificate will be scanned at the entrance without us having access to your health data. Moreover, no visitor data is saved on the scanning devices. For tests on site results will be uploaded in Sciensano and validated by a doctor.

FOR A MULTI-DAY VISIT TO THE FESTIVAL

  • If you are admitted on the basis of a valid Covid certificate: You have access to the festival grounds as long as your certificate is valid. If the certificate expires in the course of the day (e.g. at 10 a.m. in the morning) then you can remain on the festival grounds until the end of the event day. For example, someone that has been vaccinated for 2 weeks or has a recovery certificate will scan green for the whole weekend.
  • For those who are not vaccinated yet we recommend to do a test on the first and the third day in our test village.  The first negative test will grant access for the 2 first days of the festival.
  • If you are admitted on the basis of a PCR test: Then you must get tested again every 2 days. You can take a rapid antigen test on site on the third day, no need to do a PCR test again.

WHAT IF YOU TEST POSITIVE?

Visitors who test positive will be asked to leave the site and quarantine as safely as possible. Please realize that your result will be uploaded in Sciensano and you will be contacted by the contact tracing.

If you test positive for Covid, your will exceptionally be able to ask for a refund or for a voucher that will be valid for our 2022 edition upon presentation of your positive test result.

WHAT IF YOU ARE REFUSED ACCESS?

Please note this is a possibility! Visitors who have a valid ticket but who have not yet been vaccinated and refuse to take a test will not be admitted.

Refusal to take an intermediate compulsory test does not entitle visitors to cancellation, compensation or a refund, regardless of whether or not the person in question has a valid entrance ticket.

It is the sole responsibility and liability of every festival visitor to:

  • have the required documentation and certificates on them at all times;
  • be able to present them at the request of the event organisers;
  • be aware of and respect the rules in force at the campsites and the festival arena.

VISITORS FROM THE EU AND THE SCHENGEN ZONE

Visitors from European countries, and by extension the Schengen zone and the EER, must take into account the colour codes and the associated measures that apply in their destination country.
